Irina is a Romanian-American self-taught artist whose works explore themes of alienation, freedom, magic, inner worlds, the construction of the self, and the liberation of the self, with inspiration drawn from medieval and renaissance art and fables. Blending her emerging art career with a life of exploration, Irina has painted the portrait of the leader of Tuvalu, created a public works mural in a tribal land in Vanuatu, and exhibited in London, New York, and Seoul.
